Use Google Earth to add resale value to your delivery business even without a website.

1. Download Google Earth for free from www.earth.google.com
2. In Download Google Earth, go to the "Add" menu then click "Folder"
3. Name your folder, for example, name it "Delivery records"
4. Check the fields "Allow this folder to be expanded" AND "Show contents as options".
5. Add a description if you want to, such as your shop's address, then click OK.
6. When a customer calls with an order, type their address under the "Search" heading, under the "Fly To" tab, then click the magnifying glass symbol to the right of this "Fly To" address.
7. The address will appear just below - right click on the address and click "Properties". Doing this creates the delivery address as a Placemark.
8. With this Placemark open, under the "Description" tab, type in the customer's order details and any other info such as a contact phone number.
9. To the right of the "Name" field in this Placemark there is the option to choose a Placemark icon or you just press OK.
10. Now drag this Placemark you made with your mouse to the Folder you created earlier. To do this, make sure that the "Places" tab is showing (click on the dark arrow before the "Places" tab) which is located in Google Earth below the Search field.
11. You can now right click on this Folder and click "Save Place As" to a location on your computer (keep the default .kmz file description name when you save!!) and you have a record that can be used to show a potential customer how successful your delivery business is.
12. You can of course also see all of the Placemarks you create in Google Maps. Either go to the File Menu and choose "View in Google Maps" or go to "View"/"Toolbars" and to the far right of this Toolbar you will see an icon that links to Google Maps. Click on this and save the map in Google Maps if you have a free Google Account - you will need to sign up for Gmail to start with which is also free!
13. As a bonus tip, if you use this method and have a compatible GPS device such as many Garmin or Magellan models, get Google Earth Plus for only approx $20 and connect a GPS to download the addresses you save for your delivery drivers to complete deliveries faster.
